- Ramshir oil field
The Ramshir oil field is one of Iran’s oil fields, located within the boundaries of Ramshir County, 15 kilometers southwest of Omidiyeh County in Khuzestan Province, and 145 kilometers southeast of Ahvaz. It is adjacent to the Shadgan, Rag-Sefid, and Aghajari oil fields.
Ramshir field was discovered in 1962 by the Oil Exploration and Production Company, and its production began in 1966. The field has the capacity for daily injection of 1.7 million cubic meters of gas and 10,000 barrels of gas liquids. The required gas for this field, amounting to 1.3 million cubic meters per day, is supplied from the Aghar and Dalan gas fields. After pressure boosting, it is injected, along with 10,000 barrels of gas liquids, into the Asmari reservoir of the Ramshir field.
The Ramshir Oil Fields is one of the fields managed by the National South Oil Company.The manufacturing and operation process, are carried out by the Aghajani Oil and Gas exploitation company.
At present, the crude oil production capacity of this field is equivalent to an average of 32.000 barrels per day.
